Artist Jim Lacey
James A. "Pappy" Lacey
Fine Art
Although Jim Lacey has enjoyed a successful career as a commercial artist, his first love is figurative painting. His love of the outdoors means many of his paintings Artist James A. Lacey painting on the beach at Huguenot Parkare done "en plein air" so you may spot him from time to time at area beaches and other scenic spots with his easel and paints.

The ocean is a favorite subject - especially waves, as well as Huguenot Park, Jacksonville Beach, and the many bridges and waterways along the intercoastal.

Over the years, Jim has also come to love carousels and the fantastical menagerie animals that bring smiles to riders both young and old.

Seascapes and beach scenes may be a favorite subject but Jim finds inspiration in other landscapes and subjects as well. Athough firmly settled in Jacksonville these days, the Lacey family has lived in many places.

Other subjects include flowers, still lifes, fantasy art (especially art for kids), abstracts, and even pet portraits.
